Risk Management Advisor - Commercial Lines (St. Louis)

This position will develop and implement individualized sales plans for commercial insurance products and coordinate service of accounts, deliver renewals on a timely basis and secure quotes when necessary, and manage the retention of existing customers.

Essential Functions

  • Establish a network of referrals and sales leads using an organized prospecting system.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Account Manager will work closely with employee benefits team and clients to provide assistance in the sale, placement and service of employee benefits. The Account Manager is expected to provide prompt, knowledgeable, friendly service to customers to ensure service expectations are met. Provide a high level of support in maintaining and servicing employee benefit accounts and working closely with team members to form effective relationships through proactive client services.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop effective business relationships with assigned clients through day-to-day services assistance. Act as the liaison between client and vendors/carriers to resolve issues.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Executive and Account Executive to deliver exceptional service to the customer.
  • Document client related issues. Track a large number of open issues, communicate thoroughly with clients and vendors to ensure a common understanding of each issue, where an issue stands at any given time, and ultimately how each issue is resolved.
  • Market new and renewal business. Maintain rapport with clients and carrier representatives. Be familiar and knowledgeable with multiple carrier guidelines, products and plan options.
  • Assist with marketing data gathering including assembly of census, claims, and policy specific information for benefit plans.
  • Prepare renewal binders, proposals, and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Must have a general understanding of compliance and regulatory issues impacting employee benefit programs for example ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA.
  • Analyze, prioritize and interpret information drawing accurate conclusions with minimal guidance.
  • Responsible for updating Agency Management Systems and customer paper and computer files.
  • Stay informed regarding technical knowledge, market trends, company information and other operating techniques and pass along information as necessary.
  • Monitor and review client plan contracts, documents, SPD’s, SMM’s and annual enrollment communication to ensure compliance with Federal and State law.
  • Provide excellent customer service and team work.
  • Read, practice, and live the Code of Conduct for the agency. Be a participant in maintaining a strong work environment and culture for all team members.

Qualifications

Client Service Representative – Surety (Minneapolis)

We are currently seeking an individual to join our Surety department as a Client Service Representative (CSR). This full time position will work heavily in a team setting being responsible for supporting an existing book of surety business. This includes marketing and placement of new and renewal surety bonds and processing existing contract surety transactions.  

Success in this position requires the ability to thrive in a team-based environment, excellent communication skills, solid customer service skills, keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and demonstrated initiative.

Other qualifications are as follows:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree is preferred
  • 2 + years knowledge of surety industry, laws, products, coverages and markets
  • Knowledge of surety company markets and conditions, agency lines of authority, procedures and underwriting guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively service customers
  • Ability to proactively manage a book of business and to develop relationships in order to retain accounts
