Jeff Hulson leads Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA)’s Risk & Loss Advisors Division, and supports a team of professionals dedicated to providing client services in the Risk Consulting discipline. With an effective focus on developing or improving meaningful processes/programs, Jeff and his team help clients reduce their losses and exposures in the areas of safety management, accident prevention, large loss exposures, and regulatory requirement compliance. He is an expert in industrial and office ergonomics, accident prevention initiatives, workplace violence, regulatory compliance, OSHA consulting, and behavior-based safety.

Jeff joined MMA in 2002, after having a successful risk and safety management career with a number of Top Fortune Companies. He has held senior risk and safety management positions with companies such as The Home Depot, Wal-Mart, American International Group (AIG), American Stores Company, and Lucky Stores.

Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis in finance from San Diego State University. His professional certifications include the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and the Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist (CEES). Jeff currently serves as an approved Instructor for the California Department of Insurance (CDI) to provide Continuing Education (CE) credits for the renewal of Property and Casualty Broker Licenses, and has also been an ARM instructor for the Insurance Educational Association (IEA).  He is published in The Physician Executive Journal of Executive Management.

Jeff has served as a guest speaker at the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), National Restaurant Association (NRA), San Diego State University (SDSU) College of Extended Studies, and Assurex Global. Jeff developed and conducts the course of instruction for our firm’s extensive and in-depth seminars on a number of safety management topics which are recognized by SHRM to offer SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Professional Development Credits (PDC’s), to include the criteria for recertification credit pre-approval by the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
