Matthew Palmeri is a safety and risk consultant with Marsh & McLennan Agency, and has more than 10 years of experience helping people and organizations build safety procedures, programs and cultures. His background includes working in security, construction, Emergency Medical Services, manufacturing, fire services and law enforcement in a variety of safety, loss control, and risk management capacities.
From fighting fires to conducting industrial hygiene monitoring and confined space training, Matthew understands how to keep an organization and its people safe and compliant. His knowledge of and passion for his work is rivaled by his ability to build rapport with others, which provides customers with a dedicated and professional advocate for developing a culture of safety.
During his career, Matthew has received a variety of awards including: 2016 Energy Coalition for Contractor Safety (ECCS) Recognition Award; 2016 Platinum Theodore H. Brodie Distinguished Safety Award; 2016 Thomas J. Reynolds Safety Award; Zero Recordable Injury Project Award - Homer City Units 1-2 FGD Project; and 2014 Theodore H. Brodie Distinguished Platinum Level Safety Award.
Matthew is a member of the Board Certified Safety Professionals, the American Society of Safety Engineers, and the Minnesota Safety Council. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST). In addition, Matthew is an OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer for Construction and General Industry.
