Rich Cordova is a Senior Vice President, Practice Leader at Assurance. He developed and continues to manage the retirement plan advisory practice called Assurance Financial Services, Ltd. – a wholly owned subsidiary of Assurance. Rich is an industry veteran since 1998, who seeks to help clients minimize fiduciary risk while maximizing financial health for their employees. Rich views his main responsibility to
clients as ensuring that their retirement programs are comprehensive, compliant and robust. As a result, he uses his familiarity with ERISA and experience from fiduciary management to develop and deliver a client service platform that addresses a wide array of plan sponsor needs. Such guidance includes cost benchmarking, plan and investment analytics, compliance support, financial wellness services, and plan design oversight. Rich takes a holistic approach to optimizing retirement plan outcomes through tracking measurable results. As a practice leader, he oversees and mentors the Assurance Financial Services team members.
Rich has earned his Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS) designation from the College of Financial Planning and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. He’s also FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative), 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination), and 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor Law Examination) licensed, as well as maintains his Illinois Life and Health license.
