The Charlotte office began in 1999 with just three employees as a branch of Rutherfoord. In 2001, the office grew with the addition of surety representatives that helped give us a firm footprint in the Charlotte region. The Charlotte office grew to a well-established business insurance and surety bond office in the Charlotte region with investments in new producers and organic growth.

Marsh & McLennan Agency acquired Rutherfoord in 2010 which provided them even more opportunities to grow with people, talent, and resources. The Bond Network and Senn Dunn were acquired by Marsh & McLennan Agency in 2014. Through these acquisitions and organic growth, the Charlotte office has become one of the fastest growing MMA offices in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Charlotte office has a vast array of expertise in specific industries and insurance related products. Charlotte has a full time experienced forensic CPA as one of their producers, which offers a unique perspective and resource for clients.

The office prides itself on providing consultative insurance services to all of their clients. The staff is passionate about the relationships they build with clients and the services they offer. The Charlotte office primarily serves clients in the upper-middle market specializing in Business Insurance, Employee Health & Benefits, and Surety Bonds.
