Learn the best practices and practical solutions that balance a company’s legal compliance issues with its business objectives and goals as they related to sexual harassment and #MeToo.

Attendees will:

  • Participate in a candid, interactive discussion about sexual harassment
  • Hear a brief overview of the current state of sexual harassment case law in Minnesota since the onset of the #MeToo movement and how it has changed, if at all
  • Receive clear guidance on how employers can improve their employee harassment policies and update and improve their harassment training sessions


Debra Weiss
Partner, Meagher & Geer

Debra focuses her practice in the area of employment litigation and counseling, where she regularly assists employers with all aspects of employment matters. She helps employers navigate through the complicated and often-technical myriad of state, federal and local statutes and laws impacting employment decisions from the hiring process to performance evaluations, discipline, and separations, as well as litigation arising from all of those stages. She is licensed to practice in several states, including MN and WI.

Erik Rootes
Associate, Meagher & Geer

Erik works in Meagher & Geer's Employment Services practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Erik served as a judicial law clerk at the Minnesota Court of Appeals and Minnesota District Court in Sherburne County.
