Marsh & McLennan Agency's Upper Midwest Region Adds Environmental Risk & Compliance Services

March 2, 2016

Marsh & McLennan Agency’s upper Midwest region recently added six environmental health and safety compliance consultants to its Minneapolis office. This was in response to a growing need by clients primarily in the industrial, real estate, construction, health care and energy sectors.

Chris Borgen, Conor Edwards, Sneha Raghaven, Jamie Risic, Michael Young and Dominique Zellmer were formerly with St. Louis Park, Minnesota-based Industrial Protection Corporation (IPC), an environmental health and safety consulting firm that was founded in 2000. They will work closely with MMA’s existing insurance brokering as well as its safety and loss control, claimshuman resources and health management/wellness consulting teams to design and deliver comprehensive environmental health and safety compliance management programs.

By uniting these resources, MMA can implement even stronger programs to prevent and mitigate corporate risk while providing the insurance products that deliver the necessary financial backing when problems occur.

“We are excited to have this high-powered team join us here in the upper Midwest. They bring a wealth of services and expertise that is highly sought after by MMA clients,” said Bill Jeatran, CEO of MMA’s upper Midwest region. “Their core focus will be on providing operational risk management services to a broad base of manufacturing, energy and real estate clients throughout the upper Midwest.”

The former IPC team joins MMA’s established environmental practice, which has consultants spread across the United States, and works with employers throughout the country and internationally. They focus on evaluating and developing cost-effective solutions for environmental problems within a business context. MMA Environmental’s consultants include licensed professional geologists, engineers and professionals certified in both industrial hygiene and hazardous materials management, all with a working knowledge of business.
