Marsh & McLennan Agency Names Tim Fleming CEO and Ryan Watkins President of Its Minneaplois Operations
Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) announces that Tim Fleming has been named CEO of its Minneapolis operations, reporting to Bill Jeatran, CEO of MMA’s upper Midwest region, and Ryan Watkins will assume the role of president, reporting to Fleming.
Fleming helped found RJF Agencies in 1986 with Bill Jeatran. After RJF was acquired by MMA in 2011, Fleming became president of the Minneapolis operations, and has worked across the entire MMA enterprise to find the best ways of delivering value to clients while building relationships with both them and insurance carriers. He now has responsibility for the operation’s strategic direction, plan and performance, as well as developing local leadership while expanding his role supporting regional sales initiatives.
Watkins was the property and casualty sales leader prior to this promotion, and has 13 years of insurance industry experience. An annual nationwide sales leader, Watkins has earned the respect of and credibility with MMA’s national and regional executives, insurance carriers and colleagues by continuously exceeding his clients’ expectations. He is now responsible for the sales, growth, key strategic initiatives and financial performance of the Minneapolis operations, and will continue to work closely with the local leadership team to ensure that the culture and colleague engagement reflect the values upon which the company was established.

Since being acquired by MMA, the Minneapolis operations have grown from approximately $24 million in annual revenues to more than $41 million in 2015. Additionally, the Minneapolis operations lead MMA’s upper Midwest region, which includes 850 employees in seven states and accounted for $176 million in revenues in 2015.
