Marsh & McLennan Agency, Minneapolis Operations was recently honored as one of the Minneapolis StarTribune’s “Top Workplaces 2018”. The office was ranked within the top 40 in the “Midsize companies” category.
There were 361 companies from across Minnesota surveyed in order to compile these rankings and results. The employee survey seeks responses on 21 statements covering seven areas, including organizational health factors that measure how well employees are working together toward a common cause:
Alignment: where the company is headed, its values, cooperation.
Effectiveness: doing things well, sharing different viewpoints, encouraging new ideas.
Connection: employees feel appreciated, their work is meaningful.
My manager: cares about concerns, helps learn and grow.
In addition, the survey asks employees about other factors:
Employee engagement: loyalty, motivation and referral of the company to others.
Leader: confidence in company leadership.
The basics: pay, benefits, flexibility.
In a message to employees, MMA Minneapolis President & CEO Ryan Watkins wrote,
“Winning this award shows that our colleagues believe in where our organization is headed, how it will get there, and the feeling that everyone is in this together. It’s a privilege to be part of such a great organization!”
Representatives from various departments at MMA Minneapolis accepted the award at a ceremony held in late June. Read more about this honor at www.StarTribune.com/TopWorkplaces2018.
