Marsh McLennan Agency named a national diversity council corporate partner

MMA joins the National Diversity Council as a Corporate Partner

According to a Salesforce Research special report, an inclusive workplace culture and commitment to equality is “becoming a competitive differentiator for companies seeking to attract and retain a new generation of talent.”

Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC (MMA) solidified its commitment to equity through the development of a Diversity & Inclusion program aimed at building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

In September, MMA moved to further this effort by supporting the National Diversity Council (NDC) as a National Corporate Partner.  The NDC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion by transforming workplaces and communities. As an ND

C corporate partner, MMA has access to best practices, consulting, and training opportunities from leading D&I organizations.

As part of the national partnership, MMA will receive board of director and advisory board representation within a number of the NDC’s local chapters in California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New York, Ohio, and Texas. As a board member, MMA will work with other corporate partners to accomplish strategic goals and support the mission and vision of the NDC within the local community.

“We are excited about the next steps for this partnership, at both the national and local level. Our offices can tap into the local chapters’ resources as we pursue our goal of becoming a more inclusive organization and industry. MMA and the NDC can also work together to champion D&I best practices with our clients and communities,” said Gary Abernathy, Michigan-based MMA vice president and Diversity & Inclusion practice leader.

Other components of MMA’s Diversity & Inclusion initiatives include establishing regional D&I committees throughout MMA and conducting Unconscious Bias Training sessions across the country. MMA is committed to fostering change through education and engagement at every level in the organization.
