The Massachusetts Department of Family Medical Leave (DFML) recently issued revised regulations and renewal guidance for fully insured and self-funded private plans regarding the Massachusetts Paid Family Medical Leave law (the law or PFMLA). The regulations brought much needed clarity to certain subjects. This ALERT will discuss the renewal process, highlight some of the topics addressed in the regulations, as well as serve as a refresher of other key aspects of the law.
