Marsh McLennan Agency colleagues give back to military families in New England
Marsh McLennan Agency colleagues recently built playhouses for local Worcester, MA veterans and military families in a heartwarming display of community engagement and enthusiasm. This event is hosted every summer through Habitat for Humanity's unique program, Operation Playhouse.
These playhouses serve as a safe, personal space for families to reconnect after returning from service. They are a constant reminder that the community is proud of our service men and women.
A highlight of the event is the smiles it brings to everyone's faces. Long-time volunteer Brian Baumler, Marsh McLennan Agency's New England director of risk control, has spearheaded the region’s involvement with Operation Playhouse for the past eight years. "We are proud to serve those who have served our country. It has been a tradition and honor to present playhouses to families who have made such a sacrifice. It is always a wonderful day for our team to build a playhouse together," said Brian.
The playhouses, with pint-sized doors, windows, and unique themes, create a magical space where children can use their imaginations and make countless memories.
The donations also fund Habitat for Humanity's Veterans Build program. This program supports the military and veteran community through their home building and home improvement.
Operation Playhouse’s mission is a great reminder that home corporations can use their resources to unite and positively impact the community. Learn more about Operation Playhouse and its involvement in the local Worcester community.
