MMA Appoints First Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) has named Kira Kimball as its first Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer. In this newly created position, Kimball will provide strategic and tactical leadership to advance efforts to attract and celebrate diverse perspectives while promoting and protecting a level playing field for all colleagues. She will be expanding upon her experience as MMA’s National DE&I Council leader, where she collaborated with a committee of colleagues to develop training, education, and awareness opportunities for both colleagues and clients. Kimball will report to Sharon Werner, Chief Human Resources Officer.

Previously, Kimball served as Chief Innovation Officer of MMA’s Sioux Falls, South Dakota operations. In that role, she used her talent to create collaborative business and community relationships and measurable client retention and talent recruitment initiatives. She is also a respected DE&I thought leader in Sioux Falls, becoming the first South Dakotan to receive the National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Professional designation.
