Marsh McLennan Agency Strengthens Captive Insurance Consulting Capabilities with Two Key Hires

White Plains, New York -- Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC (MMA), a subsidiary of Marsh, today announced the appointment of two senior executives to enhance the firm’s single parent and group captive insurance consulting capabilities.

Derek Martisus has joined MMA’s Captive Center of Excellence in the newly created position of Single Parent Captive Consulting Leader. In this role, Mr. Martisus will be responsible for advising clients across the US on strategies for development and use of single parent captive insurance companies, working closely with Marsh’s Captive Solutions Group. Mr. Martisus is based in Burlington, Vermont, and will report to Steve Norton, Chairman of MMA’s Captive Center of Excellence.

Mr. Martisus brings nearly 20 years’ experience in the captive insurance industry to the role. He joins from Marsh Captive Solutions, where he most recently served as US Small Captive Sales Leader.

In addition, Adam Forstot has joined MMA’s Captive Center of Excellence as Senior Vice President. In this role, Mr. Forstot will help clients navigate the group captive selection process and develop new group captive facilities for industries impacted by current difficult insurance market conditions. Mr. Forstot is based in Greenville, South Carolina, and also reports to Mr. Norton.   

Mr. Forstot has nearly 20 years of captive insurance experience and joins MMA from Artex, where he most recently served as Vice President of Business Development.
