Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) has appointed Jim Maza as its first Chief Information Officer. In his new role, Maza will deliver technology solutions that enhance the colleague and client experience. He will work closely with Mitzi Herrig, MMA’s new SVP, Business Process Excellence, to bring competitive differentiation through collaboration with colleagues, carrier partners, and InsurTechs.
Maza, who is based in Chicago, Illinois, reports to Christina Mott, Chief Operating Officer of MMA.

Maza has spent more than 25 years providing technology vision, leadership, and strategic planning. Prior to his new role, he led IT for Assurance, MMA’s Midwest region hub, as SVP, Information Technology. During his five years with Assurance, he created a strong operating model with business leaders to accelerate technology innovation, led a cloud-first strategy, increased security and compliance controls, transformed service desk operations, and expanded collaboration and remote flexibility tools. Previously, he held various CIO, CTO, and senior technology leadership roles in non-profit, healthcare, software, consulting, higher education, and industrial service industries.
