White Plains, NY, June 16, 2025 – Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a business of Marsh and a leading provider of business insurance, employee health and benefits, retirement and wealth, and private client insurance solutions across the US and Canada, today announced the appointment of Read Davis, former CEO of McGriff Insurance Services, to Vice Chairman of MMA. In addition, Doug Hodo, former President of McGriff, has been named Vice Chairman of MMA’s Southwest region and Chairman of McGriff.
Mr. Davis and Mr. Hodo joined the business as part of Marsh McLennan’s acquisition of McGriff Insurance Services late last year.
As Vice Chairman, Mr. Davis will work closely with MMA’s national leadership team and provide strategic counsel on key priorities, including the ongoing assimilation of McGriff. Based in Atlanta, he brings over 37 years of insurance industry experience to the role and will report to David Eslick, Chairman and CEO of Marsh McLennan Agency.
As Vice Chairman of the Southwest region, Mr. Hodo will work alongside regional leadership to help drive priorities forward for the region, which consists of 34 offices across Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. As Chairman of McGriff, Mr. Hodo will oversee the team of specialists managing McGriff’s larger, more complex accounts. Mr. Hodo is based in Houston and brings over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry to the role. He will report to Matt Stadler, President of Marsh McLennan Agency.
