Mercer Ferguson named business insurance sales leader of Marsh McLennan Agency’s Mid-Atlantic region

Marsh McLennan Agency’s Mid-Atlantic region has promoted Mercer Ferguson to business insurance sales leader, effective August 1, 2023. 

In this position, Mercer will play a key role in directing Marsh McLennan Agency’s sales recruitment strategy and growth opportunities for clients in the region. He will also collaborate with regional leadership in driving sales success and planning to provide enhanced risk management services. Mercer will oversee the sales support teams and provide sales coaching, support, and feedback for all business insurance sales colleagues. 

Mercer joined Marsh McLennan Agency in 2006 and has spent the last 17 years helping construction, real estate, and non-profit business insurance clients find coverage solutions that fit their needs. Mercer has spent many years honing his sales leadership skills as a vice president in Marsh McLennan Agency’s Richmond office.

Mercer currently serves as the Richmond chapter of Habitat for Humanity’s board chair. He previously served as president and board member of the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate Board of Directors.
