Our specialty division, Marsh McLennan Agency Private Client Services, has deep roots, originating as The Hayden Wood Insurance Agency, which was founded in 1946 by Hayden R. Wood, Sr. after his service in World War II. Now, three generations later, the office is led by Morgan Wood Duffy, a car enthusiast, rallier, and racer himself, who continues the tradition of personalized, expert service.
On Morgan’s pit crew is Brad Phillips, who is not only an insurance professional, an avid car collector, but also the current Director of the Great Race, a role he has held since 2025. Brad brings more than 20 years of experience as a contestant and community member to the course and is known for driving the "Spirit of Stahl's" 1916 Hudson Special and a variety of classic vehicles. He lives by the mantra, "there's no better way to make a friend than to drive an old car." He is a familiar face at Concours and driving events nationwide, Brad is excited to help steer the Great Race into its next 40 years of competitive fun and support you with any specialty insurance needs you may have.
